Magadi Savings and Credit Society began its operations in with the objective of providing a mechanism for the then Magadi Soda employees to save and borrow.

The SACCO membership has grown from 50 members in 1977 to over 633 in 2012. In the same period, members’ deposits have grown from less than Kshs. 50,000 to Kshs 219 million while its asset base has grown to Kshs 361 million. The membership of the SACCO is open to all.
